Ava Galli
General Assistant
Ava joined Locksmith Animation as a General Assistant in 2025.
Her filmmaking journey began in her early teens, experimenting with music videos, surreal shorts, documentaries, and stop-motion animation throughout school and college. She later attended the BFI Film Academy, where she dabbled in art direction.
She then went on to specialise in directing at UWE Bristol, co-founding a production house called Almighty Aphrodite Productions, creating shorts influenced by mythology and folklore from a feminist perspective.
She has a particular passion for Mary Shelley, with both her dissertation and degree film being inspired by Frankenstein.
After graduating, Ava worked with children in primary schools across Bristol and taught theatre and filmmaking at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, sparking her desire to work in children’s film.
With her enthusiasm for fantasy and children’s stories, Ava is thrilled to begin her journey with Locksmith Animation.
In her spare time, Ava enjoys hosting games nights, playing D&D, solving murder mysteries, and cooking for her friends and family.
