Sam is the Assistant to Mary Coleman, Chief Creative Officer at Locksmith. After graduating with a degree in Film and Theatre, Sam got his start thanks to the MAMA Youth Project training programme, leaping off that into scripted with placements on projects like Eastenders, Brave New World, and Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

With a profound passion for storytelling, Sam decided to change tack from his work on set and in the production office, using the time under lockdown to review scripts and novels for various studios as a Reader. He was soon picked up at Anton Corp as the Assistant to the CEO and subsequently promoted to support their slate of animated film and tv projects. The chance to work on animated projects was, until then, a chimera to Sam, His childhood and teenage infatuation with animation was reawakened, fuelling his drive to make amazing, inspiring animated film and tv. This led to Sam joining Nickelodeon’s production and development team in 2023, and then to Locksmith in 2025.

In his spare time, Sam likes to dream up different worlds, whether writing fantasy novels, or making characters and playing dungeon master in D&D. He enjoys throwing himself into a new video game, book or film, collecting concept art books, and playing alchemist, conceiving new (and safe) cocktails.
